I just updated from a My 2010 X5 M-Sport 35d with all the options to a My 2013 X5 M50d with the same options.
Other than the new iDrive, paddle shifters, 8 speed sport gearbox, and an extra turbo (which gives you close to 750nm of torque) there is not much difference.
Yes its a new car but other than the old one having done 75,000klms which could have run for another 150,000klms quite easily, on thinking back should have kept it. I actually sold it to my next door neighbour, and with both cars in the driveway there hard to tell apart as both are white and it was a trouble free car
