How'd you do that? And if the car can be programmed to do that, why the hell do I have to manually turn the rain sensor on or rotate the thumbwheel when it starts raining? That was a small disappointment when I got the X a few years ago, I was used to the rain sensor actually sensing rain and coming on without me intervening.

Good job on the silicone fix. I probably would've given up early and threw a rock at the windshield and the sensor, gotten me a nice, new, insurance-funded "comfort glass" replacement.
