I don't mean to highjack the thread but I also have an audio issue.

I just purchased my 2000 X5 that has the CD player hidden behind the flip up wall,the long control panel beneath it and the 6 cd changer in the trunk space.

I turned it on for the first time testerday and it makes the loudest buzz sound. It reminds me of the aftermarket radios in the past that picked up the engine noise and you had to get the noise suppressor to reduce the whinning noise.

This is a bit different though because the noise is constant and doesn't increas, decrease, get louder or reduce in sound.

If I turn the voulume up or down, put in a cassette or turn the volume all the way off, the noise is exactly the same.

the RPM's of the engine dosn't affect it either.

Any ideas.
