You can do better if you look in the USA. I just brought one back and it was a very easy process once you find the one you want and have done your research.
I got one with a lot of options, kms will add up as you dive it but the options do not change.

Thanks for you comments. To import a X5 into Canada, do we just need a letter of admissibility from BMW and pay the riv fee?
Did you have to get the car programmed for drl and the extras?
How did you get it home? Were you able to get a temp permit?
Is any existing warranty good in Canada? What about the maintenance package?
