Question Front Brake Sensor temporary bypass

I replaced the front pads before the sensor was activated. Unfortunately the sensor was unwilling to be removed easily and as a result I snapped it. Apparently the service reset procedure will not work when the sensor is defective. I have ordered a replacement, but it will be months before I get it since I live in the interior of Panama. The dealer is a 2 hour drive and nothing happens unless I leave the car for a day. I have tried unsuccessfully to determine with an ohm meter if any of the 3 wires in the end piece are looped so I could temporarily by pass the sensor. Any suggestions regarding how to reset the service nag? The algorithm now tells me I must have the pads replaced. TIA.
BTW, the low dust pads I purchased from NewTek seem to live up to their promise.
