IIRC, you need to have a right software to code the BC display inorder to turn off one of the Cons.
As I see it, running the car with low fuel in the tank is not good for your fuel pump and filter. All the stuffs at the bottom of the tank get suck up by the pump and might clog up your filter. You are also having the risk of frying your pump if the gas get way too low in the tank.
