The dash LCD includes an average consumption readout. I have tried resetting that, but i cant get it to match reality.
The LCD display varies from 8.3 to 8.8 litres/100km, yet reality from several tank fills, is more like 10.5l/100km
has anyone else experienced this?
BMW can adjust it, but it isn't worth it IMO. A common cause of reading incorrectly, especially on a diesel, is if a performance chip or flash has been installed. Since it offsets the sensors to achieve a power gain, the fuel consumption reading can become inaccurate.
