Went to discount tire this morning, when tec took a look the tires, he called them as "tread chunking tires", since it all over the tire surface on both tires, it's definitely manufactory defect, this is quite common defect and could happen to all brand of tires.

He measured the tire tread at 5/32 and recorded some numbers from the tires and told me he was going to call Michelin to get those two tires replaced.

But after 3 minutes call from Michelin, I was offered to replace the full set of 4 tires by Michelin at 50% of cost. I took it immediately considering only 3/32 tread life left on those tires

Here is the breakdown of cost, of course, I won't take the bite of $164 free replacement certificates. Tires will be ready in 3 business days, it's good timing to get new tires for winter.
