The other FB tidbit is that FB has a 'promote your posts in the news feed' deal now: being trotted out in some countries and I am sure the US is on their list.
One pays ~$7 and gets their posts, comments, picks of their lunch moved 'up' into their news feed to all their eager followers/friends.

I wouldn't pay 7 cts...if my gang wants to read my drivel & pithy comments, and see the pics I post, I am sure they can find my stuff on FB.
The pressure for revenue enhancement has caught up to the geniuses at FB, imo.
