i have a low rpm whistling notice, i traced it down to a crack in my vac line of The intake boot. so i ordered one,

now i watched a video of the replacement done a m54 3 series e46. so im thinking its going to be similar. are there any tips on how to proceed with this, or DIY for 3.0? if not than ill try making one...
also would i need to buy any new hose clamps?
