I had a 7 before the x5 and no problems. Did you follow the maintenance of changing coolant every two years? This will prevent the dreaded pipe leak. 7 had 150k on it and never had any problems. It was an 02 the first year and a lot of people had issues. Mine was flawless when I traded it in
