Hey all, first time poster here, hoping to get a problem solved!

The power tailgate on my 2008 X5 is acting up. It slams shut immediately after I open it. No matter whether I open via the button inside the car, my key or pushing the button on the outside of the tailgate, it opens and then immediately slams itself shut.

Does anyone have any idea on what this could be? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
