Brilliant post.... great info

You can see, of course, that the dealers' numbers for the 'value' of these services are outrageous, and/or coercive- they want you to think it is a lot. For example the $360 for brake flush, microfilter and 'check' (not even oil service) at 31k miles.

Looking at your records, you will do 17k a year, or hit your 100k/6 years in 3 more years or 50k miles.

And you've only had a front brake service done, right?

Odds are you will need one rear brake job
3 oil services plus 1 microfilters
Few windshield wipers
Brake flush

Maybe a front brake job.

If you will just go to the dealer, pay the $2295. They will surely screw you out of more than that if you have them do maintenance. If you have an indy, ask what they charge.

Looking at BMW of South Atlanta, they charge $156 per rotor, $180 for pads. $480 for parts, plus one hour to install.

Oil service? Microfilter? brake flush. All 'one hour' or less jobs.

There is something to be said for having the CPO and having them do maintenance...one stop shop and all. OTOH, having an indy ID stuff that you can then take to BMW to do under the CPO could also be advantageous....

PS Why not contact one of the sponsors here and see what price they offer on the maintenance plan?
