I think you're talking about the toxic effects of Teflon. I must admit it's handy stuff but I'm sold on my set of All-Clad. It's worth the extra effort to required to clean it. We do have one Teflon All-Clad omlette pan though. (Thank you wedding presents. )

Anyway, doesn't it only get bad when it's heated super duper hot?
