Didnt think I was whining, but oh well. I was just speaking from experience - that this wasn't the norm (vs. Lexus, Toyota, Porsche). I'm not sure what my personal responsibility is - I got a new car over a week ago, and I haven't driven it except back from the dealer and to the service depart - do I not have a right to be upset?
In any event, I have read the work order, just not at the time. Also, my frustration is not at the servicing dealer, just with the car. Maybe you are used to having a brand new car go straight into service, but I am not, and I've had 12 cars in the past 10 years. From Porsche to Lexus to GM to our little Prius, I've not had experiences like this- well except for a JCW Mini Cooper which was in and out of the dealer (leaky windows, rattling, intake manifold, etc.)
