I'm laughing because sometimes bright ideas are just history repeating itself.

Back in 2000, I had a 2001 BMW x5 4.4i #13 off assembly line. It opened all windows and sun roof with keyfob and closed same.

4 months later I was sitting down to lunch at work and a pouring rain was starting. My key fob was in back pocket. Needless to say, someone ran into lunchroom looking for me -- your windows are down and sunroof open. Wtf?!???!!!!! Luckily it had just started

I was not the only one. BMW issued a SiB to disable this function in US because of this very issue.
