One of my favourite signs in NC is when there is an upcoming stretch of road that is rural and very curvy in the mountains. You'll see a sign upon leaving the town or speed zone that says "Resume Safe Speed". That's a sign of driving fun up ahead!

Although the limit is 55mph in NC and VA unless otherwise posted, on these stretches of road, you ain't going 55mph (90km/h) for very long.......
