Ya I know the wider the worse it gets. Still better than 315's though! I was thinking on purchasing 19's for the winter but like I said, already had beater rims so much cheaper doing it this way.

JCL, I agree, by mounting the 275 on the 10.5" rim it does take away the protection but if you are going to drive in the winter then best to put crappy rims on anyway and not worry about hitting the curbs (hard not to hit curbs if you get a lot of snow).
