How come the 35d is so bad on fuel for a lot of you guys??

My '05 3.0d gets better than 33 Mpg with 80% highway and 25 Mpg with mostly city stop start driving??

Admittedly, I am a total nanna on the gas pedal, but still, I'm surprised at the difference!!

Not bagging the 35d by they way, I'd much rather have one than mine, but just find it interesting!!!
