Just because you're in an SUV doesn't make it any safer during a collision if you're not buckled in. Vehicle size is a false sense of security. Without seatbelts, you can easily go through the windshield in a frontal collision or get a good "punch" from the air bag. I've gotten so used to using seat belts that it feels weird driving or riding without them.

Just buckle up and be safe.
