I am a terrible accessory whore and spent entirely too much time looking at cases. I am a holster user which is kind of dorky but I do not like pocket carry. It amazes me how few good holster cases are out there. Most bigger name cases are kind of pricey when compared to the eBay and mall kiosk stuff but after buying a bunch of that stuff, I am really happy with my Seidio Active case with metal kickstand and holster. It does not add much bulk which was a priority for me. Why get a slim and light iPhone 5 and them encase it in a boat anchor of a case? What are you guys using?

I am an accessory whore too -- is there a support group for that?

I ended up with over 20 (30?) cases for my old iPhone 4...
I use my iPhone 5 for work and play -- I returned my work BlackBerry. So for work, I like a holster too. Splash is one of the few that have leather ones for iPhone 5. I'm using the
Alpha I (which takes naked iPhone) but they have
Alpha II which accommodates a shell case. Note that the closure is not velcro, it's magnetic, which I much prefer.
For weekends, I just snap on a decent thin case. I have the
incase slider.
FYI. After using it for weeks (months?), I do find the battery life is better than the iPhone 4 or 4S.
