I have a 2009 320d and have been using the 'Y Cable' on my iPhone.

I thought that simply buying an adapter would ensure that it works with my new iPhone 5. Wrong.

The current set up enables my phone to charge while the iPhone music library is visible on my analogue screen so I can scroll up and down through songs.

In short the only way around I currently have with my iPhone is to use an aux cable and manually choose the songs on the ipod and if I wish to charge the phone use the USB charger cable. Frustrating.
