Second, we had plenty of warning for this hurricane. Why didn't you take your X5 and bike to higher ground??? There's not much you can do if a tree falls on your car, but to park a car in a flood prone area does not make sense to me; especially an uninsured car.

Yeah man I had a couple of friends and family members from Brooklyn/Queens come down and park their cars around my way in the Bronx for the storm. We are pretty much in the safe zone. One of
my friends didn't want to do that as he felt the Bronx was unsafe for his baby and parked it in and underground garage in Manhattan and of course it got flooded a 01 X5 4.4i no full coverage.
About the insurance yeah comprehensive is cheap unlike collision. Its only 120 dollars more for 6month period and well worth it. I have it on my 2000 x5.
I'm sorry for the lost I would cry if I lost my baby. On the bright side the civic is gonna get great gas mileage compare to the X5 and parts are dirt cheap to replace and easy to install yourself. Anything helps at this point.
