Good lcuk with the X5.

The wear out rate on the front suspension components on the X5 is pretty rapid. You need to inspect the control arms, thrust arms, and each of their ball joints for starters. Sway bar end links as well. One quick test for the ball joints is a quick jab of the brakes while going about 20mph. You will feel a bad ball joint as a sort of clunk as the brakes grab.
