I'm not disagreeing.
But saying "you can get it under invoice" is as descriptive as "You can get it under MSRP".
Of course you can do both. Given the incentives that are published, these become useless distinctions.
On what dealers make on a car...I'm not sure I agree with the numbers, although it definitely depends on the dealer, the model, and the time of year. I had the first 2012 X5 diesel on this forum- do you think BMW was packing trunk money into that car? Or was it just a quarterly bonus to the dealer based on his total volume? But in the end, it is a market process, and as long as what you are paying os close to what others are paying, you are not paying over market.
