First of all, the part is $250 here in the US, (who knows, probably much more by the time it gets to you in Lebanon). It is a heat exchanger, a bit different than a typical radiator. Plus the labor to change.

The X5's have a long list of know weak points....that's not one of them.

So before you asking us about preventive maintenence, tell us the model of X5 you have, the year and the mileage, (best to put that info into your signature). Also, do you know the service history of the car?
