Properly done, rust in the repair area will NOT be a problem. Around here, I have one great body shop that charges more than double the next highest. Finding a competent body shop that does not charge an arm and a leg is very difficult. But the one I generally use now is very reasonable, and does decent work; I would readily refer a friend. So a wide varience in price is to be expected. But paying more does not assure better work, nor does paying less mean the job will be done poorly.
I would look for referrals from car-savy friends in your area, and get a few quotes. I think Slick is about right on the price; perhaps a little low. Keep in mind that to do this properly, the front fender, and rear quarter panel will have to be painted at the same time, and blended into the new color of the doors so that there is no obvious color mismatch.
