Yes you should. I am quite positive that is what kills our bulbs. You won't notice them flicker in the daylight. Very low voltage. Then you might not notice at night, as you are sitting inside the car to start the car. They don't flicker when you turn them on, they just turn on.
The only way I was able to see them, is I was coding my car, and put the key to pos2, all of a sudden I see the driver side AE blink, reflecting off my garage door. Only driver side, because the cold monitoring is turned on just on that side.
I told the guys at Umnitza to maybe put that on their installation instructions. They don't think it is the problem, but I know of a few people that have confirmed this.
I fully understand the issue, those 10 super quick flickers put unnecessary ON/OFF wear and tear on the electronics and the bulb. To test, I put the bulb in the other side, and it is still green.
They are off to Umnitza tomorrow, once I get the new bulb, I am pretty sure I won't have this issue ever again, since the cold monitoring is never going back on again.
