I haven't used an OE BMW hitch on an F25, but I have installed on an E53 and E83. Considering the mounting attachment to the unibody, and the electrical integration, the OE hitch is the only one I would consider.

Consider buying the OE BMW hitch and having it installed by your favourite independent shop. Often much cheaper than the dealer.
