Not sure what you mean...yes, a new set may be 'safer', and you will probably get at least 2 seasons out them, maybe 3, all dependent on how many miles you drive in 'your winter', and how many miles are driven on bare pavement. None of us can know your situ...
If I was looking for a one season set, of reasonable time length and miles, and wanted a deal, those
seem to be good. But it is your decision.
