Made appointment (didn't buy from this dealer).. Got there and service advisor
takes key fob for a bit and decides that it doesn't need service till Feb.
In the mean time I'm getting "service overdue" on startup and have gotten emails informing me that my car needs service.
Want to trust him but also want to keep up correct service for warranty issues.
Advice appreciated!

1. You WRITTEN agreement from BMW concerning the maintenance plan is inthe glove box. Read it. Find the part that says "we pay for services the cars CBS system indicates"
2. Show the dealer the display AND the text.
3, explain that the key fob is a convenience to him, but has no bearing on BMWs agreement to provide service
4. In fact, you want to add "key fob incorrect" to the list of warranty work to be performed
