hey guys... did anyone break these LED housings open? I've had these since the E39 days, they fit fine to facelifted E53 but they are toast... before ditching them, i was thinking about trying a new set of LEDs to solder in... but I can't get the damn thing open - I pulled it apart to the last piece where the dome of the LED is sitting but can't figure out if the AL piece is screwed together, pressure fitted, glued or snapped together...'
if you look at the circular ridges, you will see that at the top portion, there is wider gap with a thin line - I suspect, that it is where the top portion comes undone from the bottom... but how???
any advice?
