The steering wheels in my '10 and '12 X5 35d's warms up differently. The 2010 warms up just right, but mainly only at 10 and 2 o'clock positions. In contrast, the 2012 warms up so hot, that I typically just shut if off after a while. The steering wheel is also warm throughout the circumference, not just at 10 and 2 o'clock. I was thinking talking to the dealer about this next time I take either of them in.
