I do not wish to discuss the morals of any religion - jews have killed many people in the name of God, christians killed even more, starting with the christians and the muslims are still on the war path...
think about quakers, protestants... when the morals allowed burning someone for stupid reasons... these morals are worth nothing... if anything, i would understand the buddhists, at least they were consistent all along... or even - atheists, at least they don't pretend...
Read the bible stories about the jewish ethics... read the dark age history... about the christian ethics... read the news articles about the muslim ethics... they all had compromised themselves...
my grandmother used to say, that she believed in church but never trusted the priests - as the priests were pedofiles and adultiers... you can laugh all day long, but recent news articles support her non-scientific statements...
so, it is best to leave the religion out of the baby discussion and stick with science - why should a pregnant Thai woman adhere to white protestant's understanding of moral and bear a child that will bring hardship upon her and her family? it should be left up to her and her man - they are the ones who will be raising the kid, not the white protestant from the congress or senate...

OK, deal. Let's not make it about religion.
What does this say about America today? I constantly hear people talking about how precious life is...and yet.
Seriously, how can our youth believe us when we tell them how special they are while we're murdering hundreds of thousands each year. This has got to be having an affect on our children. Can they truly see life as being "precious"? Also, it smacks of hypocrisy. Children are precious in the 3rd or 4th grade, but not in the womb?
