Personally im not a fan of splicing in new sections. It just adds more pieces to corrode down the road.

I agree. I have a feeling the fronts are a pain in the ass too.
Everyone should drop those panels under the car once in a while and clean leaves and crap. That shit holds moisture against the lines, causing the to rot out.
