1. READ the cpo document.
2. DO NOT 'talk' to the SA.
3, As pointed out above, the screen is not the navigation system. The coverage will be driven by the CPO document.
4. If there is ambiguous language in the CPO document I could provide you with language to give to the SA to place in the work order that would increase the likelihood of approval (or create a challengeable situation if they deny). The CPO includes a funny mix of coverage- based on how something fails as well as what the item does.
5. The last time I read the CPO, it states that the navigation system (and components of that system) are excluded. Fine. But a car without the Navigation option DOES have a display- hence they cannot call the display a component of the navigation system, if a car without nav has one! They might try, but I think they would not succeed in a challeneg.
But most people just verbally ask the dealer, shrug, complain...and pay.
