BMW to use Microsoft File System for their Cars



Microsoft signed a patent licensing deal with BMW, so that BMW can use Microsoft technology in its digital entertainment systems.

Microsoft is licensing it Extended File Allocation Table (exFAT) technology - a file system that facilitates large files for audiovisual media.

This agreement allows BMW to utilize a modern file system to deliver a more entertaining and connected driving experience.
