Yeah I figured that one won't work without the other- they need to be synchronized to keep the hatch from opening crooked. When looking at the wiring on the broken one, there are 5 wires- power and ground for the servo and 3 more on a second connector that I assume are power, ground and signal back to the hatch control module. Looking at the service history there was a module failure 2K before I bought it.
