MY '05 has the standard bluetooth VA with the male voice that only works for phone functions... and you're right - he is an idiot. Always saying he's sorry, and failing to understand phonebook commands!! (He does OK with dialing stored numbers, and dialing by number, but whenever I try to add a new number to my directory, it often times takes him 5+ trys to even understand the "Add Name" command...

Does that optional VA module cover phone functions too? If so, is it possible to just remove the stock male-voice VA? I was thinking about getting one so that I could have the Nav/notebook functions, but I had heard about the male / female VA's fighting before...
