Man, the CCV problem is so common, I'm amazed there hasn't been a true "fix" to the problem. There have been many cases of multiple CCV failures within a vehicles lifetime. Never mind the fact that BMW looks the other way, the aftermarket should have a reasonable solution.

Something with the design needs to change. I've decided to tackle this project with my mechanic, he claims to have a couple of home-brew fixes for the CCV. Expanding the hoses to larger diameter was one idea, as well as wiring up a heating element that would turn on when you move the key to the "on" position.
