I was gonna ask how cold it was today at your end and saw you are in LA, lucky you.

Mine seems to throw a CEL when parked out in excess of 10 hours on the coldest day of the year (-15'C/5'F) which clears by the time I get home and restart. Happened twice this Winter already.
It might be the high battery draw you're getting, with the steering wheel heater, seat heater, defrost and fans on high apparently it can throw a high battery draw code....at least that's the crap they told me at the dealership..."perfectly normal" is what the SA told me.
