I have a crack (due to cold presumably) in the glovebox trim (light poplar wood) and it does look like you have to remove the glovebox itself to do this, which also involves removing the whole middle area on the dash. No thanks. I probably wouldn't even pay a professional to do it either... just too much removal to do this one part.
