What's the latest on this thread? I have a E70 X5 with halogen headlights and I am looking at changing the AE's to LED to echo the look of the LCI X5's, as well as new generation BMW's on the market today.

The thread is almost impossible to follow and get anything meaningful from because there all these mixed opinions that I believe are misleading me. Any chance someone can comment on what's involved and how easy it is? Is this regarding the whole headlight units or just the AE bulbs?
