I'm looking at getting a set of 20" Eurosport Monzas for my '09 3.0. I'm having difficulty deciding on what width rims to get. The 2 options are:

1) 20x8.5 in the front, 20x10 in the back
2) 20x8.5 all around

For the staggered setup, my concern is mainly just adding more weight to the wheels which will slow me down and result in less MPG.

What worries me about the 20x8.5 all around setup is - looking at OEM BMW wheels all 20" wheels are at least 10" in width. Even the 19" are 9". What type of affect will having a skinnier width on the 20" rim have? Will the ride comfort be worse? Handling won't be as good? Any safety issues with running this setup?
