Here is a statement by a BMW tech member on here called Killcrap. I`m not entirely sure it is correct but taking some measurements to determine the position of mounting points would be a good idea .

Extensive modificiation would needed to drill out motor mount brackets holes, and a complete retrofit of the internal crankcase ventilation system to external one would need to be performed.
