OK T, so lets get our heads together again on this, I can run wiring and all that jazz, just give me the play by play on what I need to do.
I understand i need one bushing contact for the Light switch, 1 bushing contact to connect to the LCM, and in the rear, theoretically we are going to run a separate wire from each tailgate bulb harness to pin 10 and pin 12 of the X609 connector that should be in my trunk, and that connector probably needs 2 of a special bushing contact connector as well right? am I missing anything?
So far I have this from you:
LCM module (A3), connector X38, pin 15 - left rear fog light
LCM module (A3), connector X12, pin 1 - right rear fog light
both connectors, the X12 and the X38 are 15-pin connectors, X12 is supposed to be black and the X38 is supposed to be white.
Those pins supply the power/PWM signal to the light bulb, you will need to source your own ground at the light bulb.
the light module is located in the right footwell, on the side of the car - there are many write-ups on locating the LCM.
And this:
LCM module (A3), connector X38, pin 15 - left rear fog light - comes to pin 12 on X609
LCM module (A3), connector X12, pin 1 - right rear fog light - comes to pin 10 on X609.
*******
The left rear fog light is already wired from the LCM to the back of the car and is terminated at the connector X609, pin 12. the right rear fog llight is wired to the back of the car as well, and is terminated at the same connector, pin 10.
So should I run 2 separate wires to the LCM from the headlight switch with this method? And if you could explain the best way to "source a ground" at the light bulb that would be helpful, basic wiring isn't my forte but I can follow directions quite well
