That would be a really bad idea. It is an LL-04 oil. BMW had problems with LL-04 oils in North America, because of fuel composition as much as anything (sulphur levels and ethanol combined to react with the additives in the LL-04 oils, and caused early oil breakdown). They issued a TSB on this topic several years back, and removed the recommendation to use LL-04 oils in North America for gasoline engines (they still use them for diesel engines). I am pretty sure that TSB is posted on this site, I remember posting it years ago.
Perhaps it isn't surprising that a web site run by an oil retailer suggests buying more expensive oil, and changing it twice as often. It is laughable, however, when they suggest that BMW doesn't have owner's best interests at heart, but that they do. They are simply scam artists, or they don't know better. I don't know which is worse.
If you have already bought it, go ahead and use it. Just don't leave it in too long due to the known oil breakdown issues.
