Product Review: Ultimate Pet Liner by CargoLiner.com (E53 fitment)

So, I searched for a cargo liner for my new-to-me 2001 X5 4.4i and found this company www.CargoLiner.com. They advertise their “Ultimate Pet Liner” and claim it to be custom fit to your vehicle.

My main reason for buying this was for traveling with my dog, mostly to the dog park and such, but also for anytime the dog was going to be in the X. I’ve used make-shift liners on other vehicles and regretted it because it’s nearly impossible to get pet hair out of automotive carpeting. So, I wanted full coverage that would stay in place and hold up to my dog.

Pros:

  • Customer Service - Ordered online on a Sunday, they called me that night to confirm because it was an older pattern that they didn't have stock on so they would have to pull the patterns and cut it fresh.I was told I wouldn't be able to return it.I was OK with that.Happy that I'd be getting new material and not old stock that had been sitting on the shelf for the better part of a decade!
  • Quality Stitching and Materials
  • Hand-made in the USA
  • Custom Fit to vehicle
  • Cleans easily
  • Installs easily, once you lay it out
  • Easily removed (Velcro)

Cons:

  • Little pricey, but you get what you pay for - $250, shipped

TBDs:

  • Durability – will this hold up to my dog? So far so good, but it’s too early to tell.

Instructions, alcohol wipes, adhesive activator (only used for the top of the side panels), extra Velcro pieces:

Quality stitching and materials:

Made in the Good ‘Ol US of A:

Cutouts for headrests, seatbelts, and for seat release:

Cutouts for tie-downs and the seat latch: (Velcro above and below the seat latch was not attached at this point.)
