So i went down to the dealer this morning, at first he gave me the price of $35 each, i told him if he would price match it to online cause they are like $20, he said he would do $22 each, so that went good.
Got home, took off the covers, and popped off the ccv caps, then took out the orange "rubber".
On the pass side of the engine there was a ton of that milky shit all in there, drivers side was clean.
I cleaned most of it out as best i could, scraped it out with a flathead, and i took off the 1 tube that runs from the pass ccv to the top of the throttle body, it had gunk in it, but air is flowing through it so i just blew a little compressed air through it to make sure and threw it back on.
I did inspect the orange grommets and they did not seem to have any splits, which i thought already ok, either this ccv will fix maybe something wasnt working right cause of the gunk, or am i screwed and its the valve stem seals basically?
I went out for a drive, warmed it up, then sat in a parking lot for 1 1/2 min or so and pulled away, same story still getting my smoke released upon going higher rpm.
Another thing is pnoy mentioned running 5-20 oil in the other thread, in what sense would that help me with the oil consumption issue if it is probably the seals?
Anything else i should try/look into or its just a straight shot answer: seals ?
