If we throw some more physics into this: As you increase the rpm (frequency of each firing cylinder) the period between cylinders will be reduced...that's why you don't feel it through higher rpm's.
It's like increasing a blinking light to the point that it appears solid (even though its just blinking at a rate beyond what the eye can differentiate as on and off).
